Biography

Mohammad Ali Abtahi is an Iranian cleric and political figure. According to public records, he served as Vice President of Iran during the reformist administration of President Mohammad Khatami. He has also been active as a political commentator and blogger. Following the 2009 Iranian presidential election, he was arrested and later released. Reports indicate that he has continued to comment on political and social issues in Iran.
