Biography

Mir-Hossein Mousavi is an Iranian political figure, architect, and artist. According to public records, he served as Prime Minister of Iran during the 1980s. He later became a presidential candidate in 2009. Following the 2009 election, he has been reported by multiple media and human rights organizations to be under long-term house arrest without a publicly documented court trial.
