Biography
Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei is an Iranian cleric, politician, and judge who has served as Head of Iran’s Judiciary since 2021 by appointment of Ali Khamenei. He previously held senior positions including Minister of Intelligence, Prosecutor General, and member of the Expediency Discernment Council. Ejei is a prominent security and judicial figure after the 1979 revolution and has been linked to major cases including the Intelligence Ministry, the 1988 mass executions, the chain murders, and the suppression of the 2009 protests. He was sanctioned by the U.S. Treasury in 2010 for serious human rights violations.
