Roham Barjasteh

Roham Barjasteh, an 11-year-old child, went to the street alongside his father on January 8, 2026, in Nishapur. According to the published report, he was killed by the security forces of the Islamic Republic (1). According to this report, his body was buried by the security forces that same night, and the family was not allowed to attend the burial ceremony. Furthermore, all forms of communication and organization of ceremonies for this family were prevented, and the family continues to be under pursuit, surveillance, and threat (1). Due to this pressure, the identity of this child remained unknown to the public for a long time. Roham's mother, who was outside of Iran at the time of her child's death, learned about the incident after the internet was restored and returned to Iran to say goodbye to him.
