Mahin Behrooz

Mahin Behrouz, a 21-year-old psychology student from Khartoot in North Khorasan, was fatally shot by direct fire from government suppression forces in Tehran on January 7, 2026. She was in her second semester of studies in Tehran and was targeted during popular protests. Following this incident, her family transported her body 800 kilometers from Tehran to North Khorasan for burial in her hometown (1).
