Seyedeh Mona Hosseini Kazemi
According to a report by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Seyedeh Mona Hosseini Kazemi, a 57-year-old citizen and radiology expert from Malekshahr, Isfahan, was injured on January 8, 2026 (18 Dey 1404) during popular protests in the city. She sustained a shotgun pellet wound to her face from direct fire by government forces. She died after being transferred to Ghazi Hospital in Isfahan. Her daughter and son-in-law, who were with her, were also injured by shotgun pellets and are under special care. Government authorities have pressured her family to declare her a 'martyr' and bury her in the martyrs' section of Bagh-e Rezvan cemetery; however, her husband has firmly rejected this request.
