Ali Abbas Zorghechiyan
Ali-Abbas Zorqchian, a 61-year-old physician residing in Tehran, left his home on January 8, 2025, to participate in the nationwide protests in Sari (1). He departed at 6:45 PM local time and subsequently went missing for six days. During this period, his family searched for him in hospitals, police stations, detention centers, and morgues, receiving contradictory and misleading responses from the authorities (1). Eventually, his body was identified at the forensic office, and investigations revealed that he had been shot in the side (1). It remains unclear whether he was shot in the street during the protests, or whether he died after being injured while in the custody of security forces without receiving medical care, or if the shooting occurred during his detention (1).
