Iliya Ghodsi
Sadegh Ghodsi and Ilya Ghodsi, two Azerbaijani citizens from Takab city in West Azerbaijan Province, were killed by gunfire from government forces in Ghaleh Hassan Khan, Tehran. Family relatives informed the Association for the Defense of Azerbaijani Political Prisoners in Iran (ADAPP) that Sadegh Ghodsi and his cousin, Ilya Ghodsi, were present during the protests in Qaleh Hassan Khan (Shahr-e Ghods) when security agents shot both young men in the back of the head, resulting in their deaths. According to this source, security forces demanded 800 million Tomans for each body as a “shooting fee” for their release. However, the families were unable to pay this amount. Ultimately, security forces released the bodies after obtaining a commitment from the families to declare that their children were members of the Basij forces and had been killed by “terrorists.”
