Safa Farzanfar

According to a report received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026 (18th of Day 1404), Safa Farzanfar, a 25-year-old Turkmen athlete from the village of "Hajilar Qala" in the city of Gonbad-e Kavus, Golestan province, was killed by government forces during public protests in the city. This citizen was a national Muay Thai champion and had a history of participating in international competitions. Government institutions, by threatening not to hand over his body, forced his family to conduct a forced interview in order to deny the citizen's death during the protests by creating a scenario.
