Reza Armand
Reza Armand, a 32-year-old citizen, was killed by direct gunfire from plainclothes forces during the protests on 9 January 2026 in Tehran. Eyewitnesses reported that the perpetrators used a Samand car with the IRGC logo, and Reza Armand was shot in the back of the head with live ammunition in the Yaftabad neighborhood. He died in Ghiasi Hospital due to the severity of his injuries. Reza Armand was single and worked in the steel tank manufacturing business. His body was handed over to his family after 3 days. There are concerns that the government may present him as one of their own forces, while he was a protester and was killed for participating in the Yaftabad market protests.
