Mohammad Jamshidi
The late Mohammad Jamshidi, 42 years old, a boxing coach and father of two children aged 8 and 3, was killed on the evening of January 8, 2023, in the Ashrafi Esfahani area of Tehran, by direct fire from live ammunition by repressive forces. According to the received account, the first bullet struck his knee from the front, and the second bullet was fired into his chest from behind, leading to his death. Around 12 AM, Mohammad's wife called his mobile phone. After several unanswered calls, someone finally responded, informing her that Mohammad had been shot and was being transferred to the hospital, though it was likely he had already succumbed to his injuries. The family continued their search from Friday morning until Saturday in Kahrizak but found no trace of his body. After two days of searching, Mohammad Jamshidi's body was finally identified in Behesht-e Zahra under the designation 'Unknown Man No. 11703'. According to close relatives, the family was pressured either to bury him in a specific plot in Behesht-e Zahra, without a tombstone or ceremony, or to transfer the body to another city and inter it without a funeral service. Ultimately, Mohammad Jamshidi was interred on January 12, 2023, under security pressures and without a public ceremony, in one of the cities surrounding Tehran.
