According to a report received by Hirkany, Mohammad Rezaei, a 23-year-old Gilak citizen from Rasht, died on the evening of January 10, 2026, after being shot and following a suspicious process of medical negligence. According to information received, Mohammad Rezaei was injured in the abdomen by a bullet on January 7, 2026, in the vicinity of Rasht Municipality, and was transferred to Arya Hospital. Reports indicate that during his initial visit, only two pellets were removed from his body, his abdomen was bandaged, and he was discharged without the necessary surgery. On Friday, January 8, 2026, following an exacerbation of bleeding, he was once again transferred to Arya Hospital. After imaging, the presence of a bullet in his body was confirmed, but according to his relatives, no effective medical intervention was performed. Ultimately, he was transferred to the operating room around 2 AM and then to the intensive care unit at 7 AM. Subsequently, doctors informed the family that due to severe infection, antibiotics had been ineffective, and he had fallen into a coma. Mohammad Rezaei ultimately passed away on the night of January 10, 2026. According to the family, after his body was transferred to the forensic medicine department, it was stated that no effective surgery had been performed, and the necessary authorization for the operation had not been issued.
