Aida Heydari
According to Manoto, Aida Heydari, a 21-year-old student at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, was killed by direct gunfire from government security forces during public protests in Tehran on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at Sadeghiyeh Square (1). IndyPersian, citing the “Amirkabir Newsletter,” reported that Heydari was an entrant of the 2022 academic year and was shot and killed during nationwide protests on the evening of January 8, 2026 (2)(3). The Amirkabir Newsletter also reported that on the same night, another student, Zahra Bahloulipour, aged 19 and a student of Italian language studies, was shot and killed in Tehran.
