
Mohammadreza Ahangar
Mohammadreza Ahangar was a student and worked concurrently. According to published accounts, he had established a content production company with his friends and collaborated with international firms. A close associate described him as the family's only son and youngest child, a pillar of support for his mother, responsible, kind, and compassionate. According to the same source, despite having the opportunity to emigrate, he believed he should remain in Iran and build his future there. (1) On January 8, 2026, coinciding with calls for protests, Mohammadreza Ahangar decided to participate in the demonstrations. According to an IranWire report, he released a video before leaving, stating he was going for the freedom of his homeland. A source close to the family stated that his mother was concerned about his departure and asked him not to go to the streets, but he responded that he wished to contribute to Iran's freedom. (1) Eyewitnesses informed IranWire that Mohammadreza Ahangar was targeted by a sniper's bullet from atop Goldis Tower during protests on Kashani Street in Sadeghiyeh Second Square and died instantly. His relatives identified and received his body in Kahrizak on January 9, 2026. According to the same report, his fortieth-day commemoration ceremony was held on February 19, 2026, where his friends and relatives, bearing placards adorned with images of the Derafsh Kaviani (Kavian Flag) and Mohammadreza's picture, gathered alongside his family.
