Behnam Amir Afshari, born in 1364 (Solar Hijri) and father of two children, was injured by live ammunition on 18th of Dey 1404 in Fardis, Karaj, and was transferred to Sardar Soleimani Hospital in Malard. Due to the lack of a specialized transplant doctor, it was not possible to repair the artery in his leg, and to prevent bleeding, the main artery of the leg was cut off. Subsequently, the family was not allowed to transfer him to Tehran. The next day, due to the deterioration of his physical condition, he was transferred to Omid Hospital in Tehran and then referred to Taleghani Hospital in Velenjak. There, it was found that his right leg had become necrotic and was amputated above the thigh. Also, after 24 hours, a bullet that had remained in the pelvic area for about 36 hours was removed. Behnam Amir Afshari was treated in Taleghani Hospital for 72 days and suffered from severe pain. He was discharged from the hospital on 28th of Esfand 1404 at the insistence of doctors and against the wishes of his family, and was at home for only three hours before passing away in his wife's arms.
