Alireza Behboudi

Alireza Behboudi, a 20-year-old of Afghan descent, was killed on January 7, 2026, during protests in Valiabad Boulevard, Mashhad. He, born in Iran, participated in these protests alongside his cousin, Kiarash Karimdadi, and four Iranian friends. Alireza Behboudi lost his life while supporting his Iranian friends (1). This incident occurred at a time when the protests in Mashhad had reached their peak, and security forces intervened to control the situation (2).
