Babak Jamali

According to a report received by Hengaw Human Rights Organization, on the evening of Friday, January 9, 2026 (19 Dey 1404), Babak Jamali, a Fars citizen from Arak, an athlete and father of two children aged one and four, was killed by direct fire from government forces during popular protests in the city. According to information received, Jamali was a professional athlete in water polo and futsal, a lifeguard, and also the singer of the music group 'Rasa'. The body of the victim was handed over to his family on Tuesday, January 13, 2026 (23 Dey 1404), and buried in plot one of Arak cemetery.
