Reyhaneh Yousefi

Reyhaneh Yousefi, 28 years old and a theater actress, was shot and killed by Islamic Republic forces on Friday evening, 9 January 2026, during protests in the Nazi Abad area of Tehran. According to Reyhaneh's relatives, government officials put security pressure on Reyhaneh's family to declare the cause of Reyhaneh's death as a 'car accident'. Reyhaneh Yousefi's body was secretly buried due to security pressures from the Islamic Republic forces on the family.
