Sasan Azadvar

Sasan Azadvar Jonqani, a 21-year-old resident of Isfahan, who had been arrested during the protests of January 2026, was executed in the early morning hours of May 1, 2026, at Dastgerd Prison in Isfahan. A source close to the family of this political prisoner informed the human rights website HRANA that his burial ceremony was held on Thursday afternoon in a "security-controlled atmosphere," and "only 10 of his relatives" were permitted to attend.
