According to a report by the Hengaw Human Rights Organization, Mohsen Bavandpour, a Kurdish citizen from Sonqor va Kolyai, Kermanshah Province, was killed on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026, during popular protests in Karaj. He died from direct fire by government forces and being hit by a live bullet.
