Masoud Sahami
According to a report by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Masoud Sahami, a Kurdish citizen from Eslamabad-e Gharb (Shabad) in Kermanshah, was killed by government forces on the evening of Thursday, January 8, 2026 (18th of Dey 1404) during public protests. He was the head of his family and worked as an apprentice in an oil change shop. He was shot by government forces while trying to help a wounded woman and died after being taken to the hospital. Government authorities demanded that he be introduced as a "Basiji" in order to release his body, which was met with the family's strong opposition. Ultimately, the family was not allowed to bury him in Shabad, and his body was buried in one of the villages of the city.
