On Thursday, 18th of Dey 1404 (January 8, 2026), Meysam Khazaei, a 36-year-old Lor citizen and bodybuilding champion, originally from Borujerd in Lorestan province and residing in Shahriar, Tehran, was killed by direct fire from government forces during public protests in the city. The deceased was buried with a large public presence.
