Shahla Kakayi lost her life in a shooting incident on January 7, 2026, which resulted in her husband Mehdi Kakayi being injured. Her husband, Mehdi Kakayi, after being discharged from the hospital and enduring the psychological pressure resulting from this incident, committed suicide in Kermanshah. This couple, who were cousins, were buried on January 20, 2026, in the Haji Ebrahim cemetery in Javanrud. The funeral ceremony was held under strict security supervision.
