Ashkan Heidarzadeh

Ashkan Heidarzadeh, a 20-year-old young man from Chalus, accounting student and barista, lost his life on 9 January 2026, after being shot by two bullets to the head and heart. Ashkan was a hopeful and hardworking young man who managed to buy a car with his personal income and dreamed of starting an independent cafe. He was also on the verge of starting a life together; a future that remained unfinished with his death. According to reports, after this incident, his family faced security pressures and restrictions in holding the ceremony and were forced to bury his body in his grandfather's grave in the village of Kalachan in Chalus. The memory of Ashkan Heidarzadeh will remain in the collective memory of society, and we will remember him on the day of Iran's liberation.
