Golmohammad Shahozaei
Gol Mohammad Shahvazai, a 68-year-old Baluch citizen, was killed on January 19, 2026, in the outskirts of Zahedan by security and military forces (1). He was a former champion of Wushu, a coach, a referee, and a veteran in Sistan and Baluchestan province. Shahvazai had a history of political imprisonment and was arrested in 2010 in Zahedan, sentenced to 20 years of exile in Gachsaran prison on charges including 'moharebeh and ifsad fil-arz' (1). After spending more than 12 years in prison and exile, he was granted leave in 2022 and subsequently resided in the village of Khajeh Mask in Zahedan County, refusing to return to prison (1). State media claimed that he was killed in clashes in the outskirts of Zahedan and identified him as a member of the Ansar al-Furqan group; however, this group officially denied any connection to him (1).
