On January 7, 2025, following a call by Prince Reza Pahlavi, he participated in street protests in Ahvaz on Kianpars Street and was arrested by government agents. According to received reports, due to the pressures placed on his family and friends, news of his arrest was not made public, and his name was prevented from being released. It has been said that this action was taken to facilitate his release. On February 2, 2025, he was released from prison on bail after family intervention, and his court hearing was postponed to February 15, 2025. However, on the morning of February 15, 2025, Abbas Deljuyi suffered a stroke and cardiac arrest and passed away. According to reports, he was 22 years old and had no history of heart disease or any specific illness.
