Mohammadreza Bahmani

Mohammadreza Bahmani, who reportedly worked in freelance employment, was shot on 9 January in the 24 Metri area of Isfahan. According to an informed source close to the family, he suffered severe blood loss and, after several days of hospitalization, was declared brain dead and died. The source stated that the hospital and intensive care unit staff did everything they could and spared no effort in treating him. His organs were donated to seven people. Images obtained by BBC show moments after he was shot, with people at the scene attempting to move him away from the location. The source close to the family said that Bahmani had been participating in a peaceful protest at the time of the incident and had committed no violent act. According to the source, the protesters had gathered to express objections to rising prices and the country’s conditions.
