Yaser Modir Roosta

Yaser Modirroosta, 44 years old, was a music teacher and instructor of the tar and setar, as well as the director of the music school 'Pajvak-e Honar' in Gohardasht, Karaj. He was shot in the head with a military bullet on January 22, 2026, in front of the Gohardasht police station (1). His body was missing for seven days and was then mistakenly buried in Behesht-e Sakineh instead of another individual. His body was found in tattered and bloodied clothes, and due to severe injuries, his face was unrecognizable and he was identified only through fingerprints (1). His father was pressured not to hold a ceremony and to falsely claim that Yaser was a member of the Basij, while he was an independent artist and musician (1).
