
Ali Fatehi
Ali Fatehi, 23 years old, was shot and killed by the Islamic Republic forces on Thursday, 9 January 2026, during public protests on Piroozi Street in Tehran. Following the shooting by the suppressive forces, he was initially injured in the thigh. As officers attacked the crowd, he tried to escape the shooting along with others on the street, but he could not keep up with his friends. The suppressive agents of the Islamic Republic then shot him twice in the side and back, and he died in a corner of Piroozi Street. His body was among those transferred to the Kahrizak Forensic Center, where his family was able to find him on January 10, 2026. The family was charged 120 million Tomans for each bullet to receive his body. Also, security forces asked his family to declare the cause of his death as an accident, and after obtaining a commitment in this regard, they handed over Ali Fatehi's body to his family.
