Shapour ParvinMehr

Shapour Parvin-Mehr, 52 years old and from Fooman, lost his life on 9 January 2026 in Rasht during protests after being shot in the heart with live ammunition. According to relatives, after his death, security forces put intense pressure on his family to introduce him as a "Basiji" member, a pressure the family has so far refused to accept. Shapour Parvin-Mehr's body was buried in the village of Khoshkanduhan. The family was not allowed to hold any public mourning ceremonies, and restrictions continue.
